Template Terms and Policies
By purchasing a template from us or accessing any template material, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change the Terms under which our products are offered. The most current version of the Terms will supersede all previous versions. We encourage you to periodically review the Terms to stay informed of our updates. Please note that we do not have an obligation to provide you with notice of any changes to the Terms. It is your responsibility to regularly check the Terms for any updates or changes.
Definitions
"We," "us," and "our"
refer to Candor Templates.
"You", "User," "Customer," or "Client"
refers to the user or any person who uses our Service or purchases our products.
"Installed"
refers to the point at which your chosen installation option has been initiated. This depends on your chosen installation method and can occur when you receive an invitation or site permission request, when we have commenced customising your existing site, or when you have been provided access to any of the purchased materials.
"Squarespace Template"
refers to a pre-designed layout and selection of design choices that alter the look and feel of a Squarespace website. The template provides a framework for the website's design, including elements like fonts, colours, and page layout.
All of the above definitions and terms include any variations or derivatives of the terms used in this document.
Squarespace Templates
A Squarespace website template is a pre-designed layout and selection of design choices that alter the look and feel of a website. The template provides a framework for your website's design, including elements like fonts, colours, and page layout.
Our templates do not modify the underlying functionality of a website, which is provided by Squarespace. Think of the template as the look and aesthetic feel of your site. If you have specific functionality or features in mind, you may need to add them through Squarespace's existing features or third-party integrations.
Template Installation
We offer two options for installing your template: transferring it to you as a new website or installing it on an existing Squarespace 7.1 website of your choice.
Transfer Website Installation
If you choose to have the template transferred as a new website, please note that your website version will be Squarespace 7.1 and requires an active Business Plan subscription or higher. If you do not have a business plan or higher, you understand that the template code and some features may not work.
Once purchased, we will transfer a new Squarespace website into your Squarespace account within 48 business hours. You will receive the transfer by means of a website permission invitation from hello[at]candortemplates[dot]com to your provided email address. You are responsible for providing the correct email address and we cannot be held responsible for any issues caused by wrongly submitted information.
Please note that the template pages are exactly as they appear in the linked demo on the relevant product page, with images replaced with generic placeholders. It is your responsibility to add your content, text, images, and other brand elements to the template pages.
Our templates are built design kits and therefore cannot be applied/transferred to another site. You cannot then apply the template to another/existing Squarespace site.
Existing Website Installation
If you chose to have the template installed on an existing website, please note that your website version must be Squarespace 7.1 with an active Business Plan subscription or higher. If you do not have a business plan or higher, you understand that we are unable to install all of the template code and some features may not work.
We require a site permissions invitation to hello[at]candortemplates[dot]com to begin the installation. The 48-hour installation period does not commence until we have received and accepted your site permissions invitation to your Squarespace 7.1 website.
As part of the installation process, we will set your website visibility to password protected. It is your responsibility to accommodate for any downtime and plan ahead. We are not liable for any loss caused by this downtime as it is a necessary part of the process.
Upon receipt and acceptance of your permission, we will move all of your previous content to an archive folder in the unlinked section of your website. We will add the demo template CSS and JS to the template, any old code will be hidden via comments.
Please note that we are unable to preserve your header and footer as they are universal across all pages and cannot be backed up. These elements will be adjusted to reflect the design of the demo template. We are not responsible for making a backup of your current design layout in the header, footer, or any design style settings you have in place.
We will also make changes to your design style settings to reflect the demo template. These changes will affect all of your sites and will, therefore, affect your existing pages in terms of colours, fonts, animations, etc. We will not change the layout or the content of your current pages, but they will look different due to the stylistic updates, coding additions, and any other changes made to reflect the demo template.
Please note that the template pages are exactly as they appear in the linked demo on the relevant product page. It is your responsibility to add your content, text, images, and other brand elements to the template pages.
Our templates are built design kits and therefore cannot be applied/transferred to another site. You cannot then apply the template to another/existing Squarespace site.
Squarespace Version
Both installation options are available for Squarespace 7.1 websites only. We are unable to install the template on previous Squarespace versions, such as 7.0 or earlier.
Once purchased, installation options are final. If you wish to change your installation option, we are happy to provide a quote for additional installation time, as long as the template is still available in our store.

What you will receive
We will recreate the demo template exactly as it appears in the linked demo on the corresponding product page. Photos will not be included as these remain the copyright of the original photographer. Additionally, the demo template may include custom CSS or JavaScript code that is not part of the standard Squarespace platform. We do not provide support for custom code or customisations beyond the scope of the demo template. If you require additional customisation or support, we are happy to provide a quote for our design services.
By purchasing our templates, you acknowledge that they are intended for DIY customisation. It is your responsibility to add your content, text, images, and other brand elements to the template pages.
Etsy Purchase Installation Terms
If you have purchased a Squarespace template from us via Etsy, we cannot begin installation until the form linked via the provided PDF is completed and installation preferences are submitted. Your PDF can be found by logging into Etsy, clicking '“Your account” and then clicking on “Purchases and reviews”.
It is your responsibility to complete and submit the form in a timely manner to ensure that we can begin installation within the designated timeframe. Please note that any delays in completing the form or submitting installation preferences may result in a delay in the installation process. The 48-hour installation period does not commence until we have received your form submission.
By purchasing our templates on Etsy, you acknowledge and accept these installation terms and agree to complete and submit the installation form as required. Please be aware that we are not responsible for any issues that arise due to incomplete or incorrect installation preferences or delays in completing the installation form.
Installation Fee
If you have the template transferred as a new website, the installation fee is included in the cost of the template. If you choose existing website installation, the cost of installation is included in the template price, but it will be higher due to the requirement of manual template installation on the existing site and the extra work it takes.
Installation Timeline
We will always do our best to have your template installed within 48 hours (Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 18:00 UK time), 48 hours does not include the day of purchase, weekends, national holidays or UK bank holidays.
For example, if you purchase on Monday, your template will be with you by the end of Wednesday.
In the rare case that it will take longer, we will always let you know. Although rare, we cannot guarantee that installation will always be within 48 Hours.
Please note that the order time and date are based on our UK time, not the customer's local time.
By purchasing our templates, you acknowledge and accept this installation timeframe and agree to notify us promptly if you have any concerns or issues with the installation process. Please be aware that we are not responsible for any issues that arise due to factors beyond our control.
Email Invitation Delivery
If you have purchased a service that requires an email invitation to access, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have received the email invitation within 48 hours of purchase. If for any reason you have not received the email invitation within this time frame, you must contact us by email to request a new email invitation to be sent. If you have not accepted the email invitation and have not requested a new one within 30 days of purchase, we will consider the design delivered and you will not be entitled to a new email invitation request or refund.
Copyright
Candor Templates owns the copyright to the design and all files included with your template (excluding photos). You may not share the template design or any design materials provided within your purchase with anyone else. Templates (and any materials/code//files provided with your purchase) cannot be resold, shared, duplicated, or claimed as your own in any way.
If you are purchasing a Squarespace template for use in a client project or any project where you will be receiving compensation (e.g. money), you cannot claim the template as your own original work. You must provide credit to Candor Templates to avoid breaching copyright. We understand that our templates may be used in various projects, and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you. However, we ask that you respect our copyright and intellectual property. Proper credit can be given by adding a statement such as "Template design by Candor" in the footer or on the website's credits page with a live link to our website.
Photos used in the templates are for demonstration purposes only, and the copyright belongs to the original creators. Your template will be installed with placeholder images, not the photos used in the demo. Photographs used in demo sites must not be used for any live website.
Candor Templates reserves the right to use your completed website design in promotional material, including template showcase, for demonstration and marketing purposes. However, we will not disclose any confidential information or personal data without your express permission.
Template Updates
Template designs are sold as-is. We are not required to reinstall the template if a newer version or design is released. We cannot guarantee lifetime updates to the content if the template has been retired or removed from the store, or if it will no longer be updated.
Responsibility for Template
Once the template has been installed, it is no longer our responsibility and the service is considered complete and fulfilled. It is your responsibility to maintain your website and template moving forward.
You are responsible for upgrading your trial site with Squarespace within your trial period. If you let your free trial lapse, you must reactivate your site with Squarespace. We will not issue you a new website template if your trial expires, you will need to re-purchase another template/installation.
It is up to you to customise the template to fit your specific needs. We are not responsible for any changes, customisations, or additions made to the template after it has been installed. We are not required to reinstall the template if you change or delete any content or styles, it is your responsibility to maintain it.
You are responsible for all costs related to your Squarespace account. This includes, but is not limited to, the costs associated with domains, hosting, monthly plans, annual plans, email accounts, and any other services provided by Squarespace.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your account is up-to-date and that all associated costs are paid on time to avoid any interruptions or issues with your website. We are not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of your Squarespace account, and we cannot be held liable for any issues or interruptions to your website that may arise due to payment or billing issues with your Squarespace account.
Demo Pages
You are responsible for preserving your chosen template’s demo pages. There is no one-click reinstallation of the template, it is your responsibility to manage any modifications or changes to your website's pages. We will provide duplicated, disabled demo pages at installation in case you need them later, but you are responsible for ensuring these remain preserved on your website.
Support
Each template purchase entitles you to 30 days of template-related email support from the day you receive your template. Template-related support refers to assistance related to the customisation of the pre-designed layout and design elements included in the template. Our support team can provide guidance on how to modify and adjust the template's design to suit your specific needs, such as adjusting font sizes or changing colours. However, please note that our support team is not responsible for any issues related to the underlying functionality of your website or Squarespace platform.

Please note that support does not include re-installation of any kind. Once your template has been installed, the service is considered complete, and you are not permitted to change your installation preference (e.g., choose existing-site installation after you initially chose to receive the template as a new site).
Squarespace Updates
The Squarespace platform may change or update at any time, and this is out of our hands. We are not obliged to provide support for older templates built on older versions of Squarespace.
Trial Site
It is your responsibility to upgrade your trial site with Squarespace within your Squarespace trial period. If you let your free trial lapse, you must reactivate your site with Squarespace. Please note that we have no control over site trials, and we cannot be held responsible for the implications of letting your trial run out.
If your trial expires, we will not issue you a new website template, and you will need to repurchase the template if you want it reinstalled
20% Off and 6 Month Trials
If you choose to receive the template as a new site, you willl automatically receive 20% off any new annual plan (Squarespace, Acuity or Email Campaigns) if you upgrade your new site within 30 days of receiving it. You must purchase a new annual plan to be eligible for the discount. You will also get an extended 6-month trial for Squarespace, instead of the usual 2 weeks.
The 20% off discount and 6-month trial are only valid if you choose to have the template transferred to you as a new website. The discount and 6-month trial are NOT valid for existing site installations.
Please note that we have no control over the discount or trial extension as they are provided by Squarespace due to our Squarespace Circle membership. If these offers change or become unavailable at any point, we cannot be held liable or responsible.
If you remove us from your website permissions before upgrading your new site and purchasing the new annual plan, you will not be eligible for the discount. It is your responsibility to ensure that we have the necessary permissions to access and modify your website as needed.
License
Each purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-seat license to the template. If you need to install the template more than once, multiple templates must be purchased.
In short, 1 template purchase = 1 website only.
To clarify, each Squarespace template can be used for one website only. If you want to use the template for a different person, business, or website, you must purchase another license by purchasing the template again.
Prohibitions
You may not share, resell, duplicate, or exploit the template in whole or in part.
You may not use, adapt, or represent our templates or designs as if they were created by you.
You may not create any derivative work or offer competing offerings based on information contained in your purchase.
Intellectual Property Rights
You may not violate our intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark, as specified above.
Unauthorised Use
You understand that engaging in unauthorised use of our templates is considered theft, and we reserve the right to prosecute it as a civil and/or criminal offence.
Site Credit
You must place/retain a credit to Candor templates with a live hyperlink to our website. You may not, in any circumstance, claim or promote our website template designs as your own work.
Proper credit can be given by adding a statement such as "Template/Design by Candor" in the footer or on the website's credits page with a live hyperlink to our website.
If you have multiple creatives that you are giving credit to, you may move our live credit hyperlink from the footer to a Site Credits page, however, the Site Credits page must be linked to in the footer.
You may add your own name alongside our credit if you wish, as long as the hyperlink to the Candor Templates website is maintained and it is clear that the original design is not being claimed.
Each template offered on this website contains a footer design credit to promote our brand and services. Removing the footer design credit without prior authorisation is strictly prohibited. However, if you wish to remove the credit, you may purchase a licence to do so for a fee of £350 USD per template. This fee covers the cost of removing the credit from the template and compensates for the loss of advertising. Once the fee is paid, you will receive a licence to remove the credit from your purchased template.
Please note that removing the footer design credit without authorisation or payment is a violation of our terms of use and may result in legal action.
Commercial Use / Using For Clients
We understand that our templates may be used in various commercial projects, and we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you. However, we ask that you respect our copyright and intellectual property.
If you are purchasing a Squarespace template for use in a client project or any project where you will be receiving compensation (e.g. money), you must place/retain a credit to Candor templates with a live hyperlink to our website. You may not, in any circumstance, claim or promote our website template designs as your own work.

Template Access
We reserve the right to discontinue our templates and any included materials at any time in the future, for any reason. If we decide to repackage any existing resources or templates, you agree that we are not obligated to provide you with that separate offering for free or at a discount.
Interruptions
We do our best to ensure that your experience with our templates and the Launch Lounge is free of interruptions. However, due to the digital nature of our offerings, we cannot guarantee that your access will not be restricted periodically to make way for repairs, maintenance, or updates.
We will not be held liable for refunds or damages, should our offerings be rendered inaccessible to you due to network failures, server overload, backup procedures, or other similar reasons.
Requirements
It is your responsibility to reach and check each template description carefully for specific requirements.
All templates require a Squarespace account to be installed and a Squarespace business subscription or higher. Some templates may require an alternative Squarespace subscription tier, which will be noted in the product description.
Our graphics can be edited in Canva. Depending on the template, you may need to upgrade to 'Canva PRO/Canva for work' (a paid version of Canva). However, a free trial is available for 30 days if you don't want to subscribe. Joining the Canva trial is simply a suggestion, and we cannot be held liable or responsible for any costs should you forget to cancel your free subscription before the trial end date.
While our templates are designed to be easy to use and customise, a basic level of understanding of the internet and how to use Squarespace is required. If you are unable to use Squarespace, it's up to you to learn how to use the platform before using our templates. We provide complimentary instructions and tutorials to assist you in using our templates, but we are not required to provide extensive training or ongoing support. It is up to us to determine the appropriateness of the tutorials and to decide how to deliver them.
Functionality
When you purchase a template, you are purchasing the design, layout, font selection, and colour scheme to apply to your Squarespace website. The functionality and features of the website are provided by Squarespace and are not altered by the template.
Our templates are designed to enhance the aesthetics of your website, but do not change or modify the underlying functionality. It's important to note that if you have specific functionality or features in mind for your website, you'll need to ensure that they are available through Squarespace's existing features or third-party integrations.
Launch Louge, Tutorials and Guides
All of our Launch Lounge content, tutorials, and guides are provided as bonus content, not as part of the template. Therefore, we retain the right not to provide you with new tutorials or guides if the Squarespace platform, a third-party platform, is updated after you have purchased a template. Squarespace is constantly changing and evolving, and we cannot guarantee that our tutorials and guides will be updated to reflect those changes. However, we will do our best to keep our tutorials and guides up-to-date and relevant.
Compatibility and Inoperability
Updates to Squarespace or other third-party services may render our templates, plugins, or code inoperable. Under such situations, we are under no obligation to update your templates/code plugins or inform you.
We cannot guarantee that our code plugins or templates will be compatible with any other code, plugins, customisation, or integrations that you have already installed on your website. We also cannot guarantee that our plugins, coding, or templates will be compatible with any future revisions, updates, or versions of Squarespace or other third-party services.
Custom Code
We are unable to guarantee compatibility between our custom code and any other code, plugins, customisations, or integrations that you may have already installed on your website.
Additionally, we cannot ensure that our custom code will be compatible with any future revisions, updates, or versions of Squarespace or other third-party services. This is because we do not have control over any changes that may be made by these services or any customizations that you make to your website.
Please note that any issues arising from incompatibility or errors due to custom code that we have created for you may incur additional charges for our services to resolve.
Third-Party Applications
Since browser technology and web applications change over time, we cannot guarantee that embedded third-party applications, template design kits, or custom code will continue to operate in the desired way at any time after we conclude our service of installation. In the unlikely event that Squarespace, the third party, or web browser technology changes in such a way that this breaks your website, we can provide an estimate for fixing it at that time.
Refunds & Cancellation
As digital products, our templates are not eligible for refunds or exchanges of any kind. We understand that this may be inconvenient, but we cannot make exceptions to this policy.
We encourage you to review the template demos, features, program requirements, and accompanying information carefully before making your purchase. This will help you to ensure that the template is a good fit for your needs and that you will be able to use it effectively.
Please note that we reserve the right to cancel an installation at any time. If we cancel your installation, we will refund the full amount of the Install service only. We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible if we need to cancel your installation.
Errors & Content Changes
Loss of Content & Errors
We will always do our best to ensure that your existing site/content is protected, however, we cannot be held responsible for anything that goes wrong or accidental loss of content (of any kind) during the installation. This is unlikely, however, we always recommend backing up your content beforehand.
Squarespace Errors
We cannot be held responsible for any Squarespace-related errors that result in the loss of content (of any kind) or other damages during the template installation.
Style Changes To Current Content
During on-site installation, we will be making stylistic changes that will apply to the entire site. This means that whilst we won’t edit your existing content, it will likely look different due to the new template settings. You acknowledge that your existing content will NOT look the same after the new template installation.
Custom Coding & Plugins
When you purchase a code plugin or installation service, you are purchasing a single license which enables you to install and use the plugin on a single website that you specify at the time of purchase.
You will be provided with support for 30 days after they have purchased a plugin or coding service to fix any bugs that you may find; if bugs found within the 30 days period cannot be fixed, we may choose to refund you for the plugin instead, no damages or costs will be paid.
Since browser technology and web applications change over time, we can make no guarantee that embedded third party applications or custom code will continue to operate in the desired way at any time after we conclude our service. In the unlikely event that Squarespace, the third party, or web browser technology changes in such a way that this breaks your website, we can provide an estimate for fixing it at that time.
We cannot guarantee that our code plugins will be compatible with any other code, plugins, customisations or integrations that you have already installed on your website.
We cannot guarantee that our plugins or coding will be compatible with any future revisions, updates or versions of Squarespace or other third-party services.
Updates to Squarespace or other third-party services may render our plugins or code inoperable. Under such situations we are under no obligation to update your plugins or inform you.
You may not make additional copies of the plugin or code, resell, redistribute, sub-license or share the plugin / custom code.
Cross Browser Compatability
While we aim to make our templates and code work across all browsers, we cannot guarantee that all features will work on every browser. We test our templates and code on a range of modern browsers, but we cannot check every browser or every version of every browser. Therefore, some features may not work as intended if a browser does not have the ability to feature the code.
Additionally, some browsers may interpret CSS and HTML code differently, which can cause minor display differences between browsers. It is the user's responsibility to check the template on different browsers to ensure that it meets their needs. We recommend using the latest version of a modern browser, such as Chrome, for the best user experience.
We cannot be held responsible for any issues that arise due to unsupported code or features across browsers. Finally, we reserve the right to discontinue support for certain browsers or browser versions at our discretion, in order to focus our resources on supporting modern browsers and providing the best user experience for the majority of our users.

Canva Templates
All Canva templates require access to Canva and basic Canva knowledge, including how to use the platform and make edits.
Our Canva templates come with basic support, meaning we can help you receive and access your templates. For customisation support, you'll have access to Canva customer support and their extensive tutorials.
All copy and photography is for demo purposes only and are intended to be replaced.
Our templates come with a one-time use license, in short, 1 template purchase = 1 project only. If you want to use the template for a different person/business, you must purchase another license.
Templates cannot be resold, shared, duplicated or claimed as your own.
Due to the nature of our digital products, we do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for any and all payments made. Please review the template details, program requirements and information before making your purchase.
Disclaimer of Earnings and Income
We make no guarantees of any kind regarding your earnings or income, whether expressed or implied. Our website templates, information, and any education provided are intended to assist you in achieving your goals. You acknowledge that your success depends entirely on your business experience, motivation, and individual capacity.
Any testimonials featured on our website or marketing materials are accurate and honest portrayals of previous clients or customers who have sharing their opinions about our website, products, and/or services. Any testimonials featured on our website or marketing materials are not a guarantee that all clients or customers will have the same, similar, or better experience.

Checkout and Currency
All prices listed on our website are in United States Dollar ($USD). At checkout, we use a third-party service called ThriveCart to process your payment securely. ThriveCart accepts all major credit cards, and you'll receive an email receipt from them once your payment has been processed.
